Ella's August Favorites

Hello!
It seems like just yesterday that it was April, and I was getting pumped for summer nights and a week away at the beach. While I am bummed that I cannot go back and spend the rest of my life on Tybee island yet (yet is a very important word), I am ready for the beauty of fall. It is hard to believe it is fall, however, when you are still praying that it only reaches 100 degrees outside on the daily. One day, I will experience fall. One day (unless my plans to live on Tybee in a cottage for the rest of my life go as planned. I'd take it, though.) Also, another important event happened over the long weekend of labor day: August ended. So now, it is time, for.... (drum roll please)....(waiting for that drum roll)....(nope? that's cool.)... ELLA'S AUGUST FAVORITES!! Let's jump right in to it.
My first August favorite would have to be this B&BW candle in the scent leaves. It is the perfect fall scent, and the mini size is great for your bedroom. I put this on my bedside table and light it while I read my library books before bed. It is very relaxing and gets you in the mood for fall. B&BW, you are doing it right.
My second fave are these Moravian cookies from a Moravian bakery in Winston-Salem, North Carolina. I have some family there and we always go to this tiny little bakery to get cookies. Ginger cookies are a good autumn cookie (as weird as that sounds, it is true!). These cookies are incredible, and would make good christmas gifts. You can purchase them here.
My next favorite is this nail color from Essie in the shade ladylike. I saw a similar essie shade while browsing the fall nail trends of 2014 a few days ago, and immediately thought of this shade I had worn a long time ago. It is a pale purple color that is just the perfect touch for fall .It isn't as loud as a deep red or maroon shade, so you can make a statement with a chic scarf or statement necklace instead. Although you will be seeing my favorite essie polish ever, Berry Naughty, sometime between now and christmas. Hopefully.
If you read my makeup collection post, you would know i was using Maybelline's new pumped up mascara. I didn't really like it, as it clumped easily and the brush design was strange (and ineffective. Adding a twist to a stick did nothing, despite their clever packaging.) I threw it out once I had used it for 2 months, and purchased The Mega Plush Volume Express mascara. Not only is the brush awesome, it doesn't clump!
This is the best lipstick I have even used, and I say that very confidently. This is a Revlon lipstick in the shade "Wild for Pink". It is not too terribly bright, and matches the natural shade of my inner lip. The only reason I use it is because my lips are really weird and are two different shades, so this evens them out. Tip: to make your lipstick last, put a tissue over your lips after applying your favorite lipstick and brush your face powder over the tissue. It sounds weird, but it really works! I do it every morning before school because I don't have time to reapply my makeup throughout the day.
My final August favorite is this deodorant. It is all natural and has no scent. I don't really know what to say, other than it is natural, has no active ingredients, and is perfect for sensitive, um, armpits? We've just entered a whole new realm of weirdness.

I hope you enjoyed my awkward August favorites! Please follow us so you know what's up. Also, it helps us out a ton when you comment and +1 our posts.  We thank you for your support as we come up to our big 1st anniversary of two4beauty! See you later, gators :)

My makeup collection (Ella)

Hello!
Today I bring you my makeup collection. This is only to show you what I use, not to brag or compare myself to other collections. I really enjoy reading these and thought I would make my own. See your fave? Let us know! Also, tell me if I should try out some new products, and I will try and review them.
So here is the collection. I have my makeup bags, bronzers and palettes, trio eye shadows, perfume, brushes, lippies, eye game team, foundation, and a bunch of samples.
Starting at the far right, I have my beauty gems starter makeup kit. It has eye shadow in ever color of the rainbow, lipgloss, blush, bronzer, and some plastic brushes. This is great for beginners, because it comes with everything you need for the low price of $15.00 at Walgreens. This may be why I had an allergic reaction to the pink lip gloss cubes. Next, we have my coastal scents Revealed palette. I love this to death! It is a much cheaper alternative the the naked palette and, personally, I think it is better. it has the nude shades standard to a nude palette, then your black, metallic grey and purple, and even a teal shade. It is super travel-friendly and another great one for beginners. Above, I have my brown Bare minerals eyeliner and my pop bronzer in sunkissed. I got the bronzer from my first ipsy and fell in love with it. It suprisingly looks really natural on and i super easy to apply. I also have a NYC nude eye shadow palette I bring to school and on the airplane, or even for mornings when I am running late. I have a really old Ulta quad filled with colors I could only wear once on halloween. I have used the gold once, but it has a mustard yellow tint to it and, tbh, looks really bad. I have a purple eye shadow trio from Maybeline that I also use a lot. Purple really brings out brown and Hazel eyes.
These are my makeup bags. The orange polka dot one is from this month's ipsy. It is really handy for carrying brushes, which works out since I am going to a wedding on the other side of the country really soon. The smaller one on the left in from target, designed by Trina and Co. It works for school, holding a trio, lippy, lotion, brush, and some hair ties. The floral bag in the back is my fave. It is from Forever 21. It says REBEL on each side in bold, gold lettering. It legit can fit almost every item of makeup I have (minus my beauty gems palette and all my lippies). It is amazing for travel. If you are looking for a cheap but effective makeup bag, check out Forever 21.
These are just my samples that go in this adorable ipsy glam bag from July. Some bare minerals eyeshadow samples, moisturizer, urban decay, cynthia rowley, and Sumita eyeliners, a random nude shadow, some eye bb cream from BM, mango jay's lip moisturizer, coastal scents blush, and the ever so loved Staniac.
Here are my perfumes from B&BW. I have velvet sugar, enchanted forest, and Cool coconut breeze. I also have a TON of minBacs and some dry conditioner. Still not sure how it works, but I love it and use it when styling my hair too much (almost).

this is my main makeup holder. I got it for a great price at marshalls. They have really nice storage solutions there. I had been looking for a good storage container and was so happy to scope this one out!

These are my face products. I have bare minerals powder in golden fair, bare minerals bronzer in warm, bare minerals blush in beauty, revlon photo ready foundation in 004 nude, some weird cover girl foundation that i use to balance out reddness, some color match concealer, and bare minerals prime time face primer.
Notable Eye products: molly black liquid, maybelline's pumped up lashes mascara, and some eye shadow primers.
Too many products to list all of them, but here are m lip balms and sticks. I have a revlon and pixi balm and stick that i mainly use.
All my bare minerals marvelous moxie lip glosses that I  got for birthdays and christmas in little sampler packs. I also have a random drugstore lip gloss that makes my lips feel really strange.
All my beautiful brushes. I have coastal scents eye brushes, bare minerals face and eye brushes, japanesque brushes (that were free for birchbox and are horrible), and a sally hansen eye lash curler.
my make up mirror has led lights on the sides and two mirrors. This was my huge christmas gift last year, and I love it! No more sitting on the bathroom counter for me :)

I hope you enjoyed my little tour!
